The symmetries to be found in nature go beyond the typical leaf-and-flower designs. This series of laser-cut bamboo jewelry is inspired by radial symmetries found by slicing various types of fruits and vegetables.  This piece may look like an abstract organic shape at first, but it's actually derived from a slice of that oh-so-common fruit (vegetable?), native to the Americas but imortalized by the Italians-- the tomato!
