The symmetries to be found in nature go beyond the typical leaf-and-flower designs. This series of laser-cut bamboo jewelry is inspired by radial symmetries found by slicing various types of fruits and vegetables.  Though at first each may appear to be abstract shapes cut from roughly round discs, each is actually the pattern of seeds found in a different fruit.

The collection includes six varieties:  tomato, cucumber, pomegranate, okra, persimmon, and apple.  Who says your earrings have to be identical?   We invite you to pick your own pair of earrings by mixing and matching different fruits.  Pick two tomatoes, if that's your thing... or a tomato and a cuke might be right for the salad lover.  Is your love from Louisiana?  Pomegranates are the fruit of love and okra's other name is gumbo.  You can pick your fruit at the market, now you can pick your Fruit Slice Earrings, too! 

Each slice is approximately 1" in diameter.  They are laser cut from bamboo and hang from two sterling silver rings on sterling hooks.
